Wow! it worked!
Many, many thanks to Angie!
This is a small wallhanging, 30 by 30 inches that I made several years ago. It is machine embroidered with Baltimore album blocks. It hung in my hallway for a few years and everytime I passed it, I thought to myself, "it needs more quilting". So today, I finally did it, just in time to sell the quilt!
My daughter and I are trying a small business venture near her home in Georgia. Some friends of hers own an antique/craft mall and I let her talk me into taking a small space there with her. In my old life, I made and sold doll clothing for the American Girl dolls. I retired from that venture 4 or 5 years ago, but I still had quite a stock of outfits on hand. And of course, I have quilts spilling out of closets here. So, nothing ventured, nothing gained. I am committed (or maybe I SHOULD be committed, lol) for six months.
We are leaving for Georgia on Friday morning, with the van full of inventory. I will keep you all posted on our progress.
Again, thanks so much Angie, for coming to my rescue!
Where in Georgia I have a friend that has a stall somewhere in Georgia. Her name is Annie.
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt and good luck.

Oh, I'm so glad I responded to your email - that little quilt is fabulous! I love applique and eye candy. This couldn't have worked out better. What fun - a new venture - I did that with books - always wanted my own bookstore, so I took the plunge in 1999 and started an onlin store. It was fun for the 11 years (and in the black) I did it. Now I just want to quilt. Let us know how it goes.
